Richard Mirabile, Ph.D.
Executive Coach & Leadership Consultant
Richard Mirabile is an organization consultant with more than 20 years of diverse, business, consulting and academic experience. In his current role, he specializes in leadership development, high performance teaming, organization and culture change, and executive coaching. Richard has consulted with many well-known, successful companies such as AT&T, Bank of America, McKesson, and Sun Microsystems.
Richard has also held the following positions:
- Founder and CEO of Success Factor Systems, Inc., an enterprise software company, where Richard developed the company’s business and product strategy, raised the first two rounds of venture funding, and led the firm from its inception through the first five years of growth. The company completed a successful IPO in 2007.
- Chief Learning Officer (CLO) for Virtual Learn, a venture-backed, e-learning company
- Partner, Leadership Consulting Services for Heidrick & Struggles
- Western Regional Vice President of Linkage, Inc., an international consulting and education company specializing in 360 assessment and Leadership development;
- Director of Staffing and Development for GTE Telephone Operations Group
- Guest Fellow, Center for Leadership Development & Research, Graduate School of Business, Stanford University
Earlier in his career, Richard held the position of Assistant Professor at Purdue University, and was an adjunct faculty member at the California School of Professional Psychology and John F. Kennedy University. He has also been a guest lecturer at the University of Texas at Austin and is a Nationally Certified Career Counselor with Southern Illinois University. Richard is a Guest Fellow in the Center for Leadership Development, Graduate School of Business, Stanford University.
Richard holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology, a Master of Science in psychology and business all from Southern Illinois University. He has completed all coursework for the Master of Science in Organizational Development from Bowling Green University, holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Systems from Purdue University, and has several national certifications in counseling and human resources.
Much of Richard’s work has been published in professional journals. He also authored a book on career decision making, and has co-authored a chapter on knowledge mapping in a new book entitled, Leading Organizational Learning. He has also been a featured speaker at many national and international conferences, and has been listed in the directory of Who’s Who of Executives and Professionals.
